Three Main Types of Baby Cribs

There are many types of baby cribs, but here are three main types that commonly sell:

Standard
Is the cribs without all extras. There are two types: one have a single drop side and other have both drop side. The latest one is more expensive, however, allowing your baby to be removed from both side is more comfortable.

Convertible
Is the crib that can be made into toddler bed when your baby grow and gets too old for a crib but not old enough for kid. Because of these convertible, this crib is more expensive than the both standard cribs, but it will save your money for years.

Canopy Cribs
Is the elegant baby crib that has four posts that can hold fabric canopies above your baby. Structured more for the elegance that it provides to a room than its functionality, most parents do not opt for canopy baby cribs. Some parents, in fact, who are considering buying canopy baby cribs decide against buying as they are not comfortable placing cloths above the crib as it may fall off any time and suffocate your baby. The reasons for buying the canopy cribs are usually just aesthetic and maybe you will be placing your baby outside in his/her crib.
